Francesca Cox

Oboe

Francesca studied at the Royal Academy of Music for her BMus and then Guildhall, on the Orchestral Artistry Course, for her Masters, where she completed her studies with a Distinction. 

She is a founding member of Ensemble Renard, an award winning wind quintet, who she performs regularly with around the country. Francesca has played with many orchestras including English Touring Opera, Opera North, Fantasia Orchestra and Orchestra of the Earth, with whom she was on tour to Europe last summer. She is the current oboist on BCMG’s NEXT scheme, specialising in contemporary music. Francesca is a Britten-Pears Young Artist (2020 and 2022), and has recorded a CD with the Royal
 Academy of Music Chamber Orchestra under Trevor Pinnock, which was broadcasted, from Wigmore Hall, on BBC Radio 3.
